Best to instead not interfere one way or another with gas prices. I don’t support the babying of adult Americans by deciding what is good and bad for them then enforcing that by fiat and the threat of government violence (which is the force behind _every_ proclamation from the government). The illiberal idea that we should artificially inflate gas prices in order to force people to modify their behavior is exactly the same mentality as the one behind the banning of marijuana, the prohibition of gay marriage, and various other evil restrictions. That is, “People should obey my morality.”
